English

The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating and determining the relationship between parents' educational perfectionism and emotional dyslexia with generalized anxiety symptoms in female students of Marand city. The current research was correlational. The statistical population of the research consisted of all female students of the first secondary level of Marand city (N = 8447), and based on the table of Morgan and Gergesi, 370 people were selected from among the statistical population by simple random sampling. The research tool includes a scale. Diffuse anxiety (GAD-7) (Spitzer et al., 2006) and perfectionism questionnaire (Farsat, 1990) and emotional dyslexia questionnaire (Alexei Tayma-, 1987). The results of Pearson's correlation analysis showed a significant relationship between all dimensions of emotional dyslexia and the subscales of worry about mistakes, doubt about actions, parental criticism with pervasive anxiety; The results of the simultaneous regression showed that among the predictor variables, in the parental educational perfectionism scale; Subscales (concern about mistakes, doubts about parental actions and criticism) as well as all subscales of alexithymia that could predict general anxiety of female students (p<0.05). Also, in relation to the role of parents' educational perfectionism in predicting pervasive anxiety of female students, it can be said: Perfectionist parents may use the dreams and norms that they feel they have not been able to achieve for their children, their behaviors evaluate critically and engage in psychological control techniques, which is one of the components of parenting, and these high expectations and criticisms of their children's performance and behavior lead to anxiety in children (Belt, 1995). In addition, predictor variables were able to explain about 25% of the variance related to general anxiety of students. It is concluded that with appropriate education and prevention of the development of emotional dyslexia, it is possible to prevent the emergence and continuation of pervasive anxiety in students
