The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of effective communication training on attachment styles, social vitality and attitudes toward love in couples. This research is an applied research in terms of purpose and a quasi-experimental research with pre-test-post-test (intervention) and control group in terms of method. The statistical population includes all couples referring to the selection counseling clinic in Tehran, which is estimated to be about 100 people, which was considered as a sample using the Morgan table, 80 people, of which 30 participants volunteered to participate in the course. Available non-random sampling method was selected and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Implement data collection tools Data collection tools were communication skills protocol based on Emami Naeini (2006), Collins and Reed Attachment Styles Questionnaire (1990), Oxford Happiness Questionnaire)(2001) and Lee Love Attitude Questionnaire (1986). The collected data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential methods from SPSS21 software. The statistical method of data analysis was analysis of covariance. In this study, descriptive statistics were used to calculate the mean and standard deviation of research variables and show the frequency and related graphs, and inferential statistics were used to test the hypotheses. The results showed that effective relationship on attachment styles, social vitality. And the attitude to love is effective in couples. Due to the severity of the effect, effective communication training has a greater effect on couples' attitudes toward love than other variables.
