[English]

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of short-term structural, play therapy and structural therapy on the reduction of ADHD symptoms in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. For this purpose, experiments using pre-test-post-test design were selected from male students in the first to sixth grades of elementary school using the available sampling method and were placed in two experimental and control groups. To collect the data, the Parents Connors Questionnaire - Hyperactivity Disorder, Rutter Behavioral Disorders Questionnaire and Clinical Interview were used. Before the program began, questionnaires were administered to both groups as a pre-test. After the training program, the measurement tool was performed again for both groups as posttest. Data were analyzed using a covariance statistical test. The results showed that short-term play therapy, structural therapy was effective in reducing the symptoms of students' disorders and reduced motor and hyperactivity, anxiety and depression, social maladaptation, antisocial behaviors of hyperactive children and improved attention and concentration. Based on the data obtained, the use of structured games as a treatment of choice in reducing symptoms in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is recommended.
