Analyzing the content of the Persian curriculum of the fourth and fifth grades of elementary school with regard to life skills components

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to analyze the content of the Persian curriculum of the fourth and fifth grade of elementary school with the approach of life skills. The type of research is applied and its method is content analysis. The method of execution of this research is a content study (content analysis) of the Persian textbook, which refers to the Persian books for the fourth and fifth grade of primary school, and the analysis in this research was based on coding and specifying the frequency and percentage in different dimensions of components related to life skills. In order to analyze the content of the books, the researcher used 8 categories along with its subcomponents. According to the research findings, which showed that the decision-making component with a frequency of 124 has received the most attention in the above books. The total percentage of units containing life skills components in the fourth book is with a frequency of 318 and 51.87 to the total frequencies. The fifth book with the frequency of 295 and 48.12 of the total frequencies. Attention to life skills has decreased from the fourth to the fifth grade.
