An Analysis of Teachers' Perceptions and Lived Experiences of Factors Affecting Lying Among Elementary School Students (A Qualitative Phenomenological Study

Abstract
Background and Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate teachers' experiences in the field of factors affecting lying among elementary school students. Research Method: Since the researcher intended to find teachers' lived experiences in the field of factors affecting lying among elementary school students; therefore, a phenomenological strategy was chosen. The research field and the study population were school teachers in Minab city. The sampling method in this study was carried out in a purposive and criterion-based manner. A total of 14 teachers from Minab city schools were invited to participate, of whom 6 were male and 8 were female. The theoretical saturation principle was used to complete the sampling. The participants' experiences were drawn in two patterns. Findings: The findings from the interviews with the participants included two explanatory categories: 1- Factors affecting lying 2- Necessary strategies to reduce lying in children. Conclusion: The participants presented necessary strategies to reduce lying in children
