The effectiveness of educational package based on academic civic behaviors on improving academic health promoting behaviors in female students

Abstract
Background and Aim: The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of the academic civic behavior training package on the improvement of academic health-promoting behaviors in female students.
Methods: The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group and a one-month follow-up. The population under study in this research was all the female students of the second period secondary schools of Mahabad city in the academic year of 2023-2024, 30 of them were randomly selected by purposeful sampling and divided into two experimental and control groups (15 experimental and 15 control). were assigned The measurement tool in this research was the educational lifestyle behaviors questionnaire of Salehzadeh et al. (2016). The experimental group of 10 sessions (2 sessions per week) of 75 minutes were subjected to the training package based on academic civic behaviors, and the control group did not receive any intervention. Statistical data analysis was done using the analysis of variance method with repeated measurements and SPSS version 23 software.
Results: The findings showed that the teaching of academic civic behaviors package is effective on the behaviors that promote academic health in female students of the second year of high school (p<0.001).
Conclusion: According to the results obtained from this research, it is suggested that the training package of academic civil behavior should be used along with other psychological interventions as one of the effective methods in improving academic health promoting behaviors in female students of the second year of high school.
