Therefore, the aim of the present study was to predict the academic performance of Wasit city students through psychological capital, academic self-efficacy, academic enthusiasm and academic meaningfulness.

Research tools include psychological capital questionnaire (Luthans, 2007), academic self-efficacy questionnaire (Mijli et al., 2000), academic engagement questionnaire (Fredericks et al., 2004), academic meaningfulness questionnaire (Henderson-King and Smith, 2006), and performance questionnaire. study (Pham and Taylor, 1999). The data obtained from the research were analyzed using Pearson's correlation method and step-by-step regression using SPSS22 software.
Results: The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between psychological capital, academic self-efficacy, academic enthusiasm, academic meaningfulness and academic performance (p<0.01). In addition, the results of the stepwise regression analysis showed that among the predictor variables, 24.7% and 4.6% of academic performance changes can be explained through psychological capital and educational significance in two steps, respectively (p<0.01).
Conclusion: According to the results, due to the important and prominent role of psychological capital and educational significance in predicting the academic performance of students, attention to these important findings should be considered by school managers and policymakers in Iraq.
