The results showed that academic engagement has a significant effect on academic vitality both directly and indirectly through academic self-efficacy (P<0.05). And this role becomes more prominent with the mediation of academic self-efficacy. Considering the positive and meaningful relationship between academic engagement and academic vitality and confirming the mediating role of academic self-efficacy, it is suggested in this context. In order to increase the academic vitality of gifted students, while paying attention to the increase in academic conflict, focus on increasing academic self-efficacy in this group. In this context, it is important to empower students as well as extracurricular training sessions focusing on the aforementioned variables.
