Abstract
Objective: Recent research has shown that personality traits in childhood are related to attitudes toward substances. The purpose of this study was to investigate the personality traits of various disorders on working children and the attitude of working children towards substances. Method: The statistical population of this study consisted of working children in the Sun Helper Association who were studying in the academic year 2009-2010. 120 of these students were selected by random sampling. The subjects of this study were 120 students and children working in this association. The instruments of this study included short form NEO personality questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using correlation coefficient and regression analysis and analysis of variance and standard deviation was performed using SPSS software. Results: The results showed that personality traits and family cohesion had a direct and indirect effect on attitudes toward drug addiction. And peer attachment, altruism and social support had a direct and significant effect on attitudes toward drug addiction. It can also be concluded that the findings are consistent with previous similar studies. The mentioned results with scales (neuroticism, N) with 44% variance, (conscientiousness, C) with 18% variance, (extraversion, E) with 16% variance, (agreeability, A) with 28% variance And (flexibility, O) was obtained with 30% variance.
